‘Manjummal Boys’ about a new record in Malayalam cinema box office history. Chidambaram’s ‘Manjummal Boyz’, directed by Chidambaram, has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film at the global level, earning Rs 176 crore. ‘Manjummal Boyz’ has broken the record of Judd Anthony’s film ‘2018’ which stood at number one for the past year. The collection of ‘2018’ was 175 crores at the global box office. In just 21 days, “Manjummal Boys” has become the highest grosser of all time in Malayalam. Pulimurugan, Lucifer and Premalu are among the top five grossing films.
Soubin Shahir, Srinath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathy, Lal Jr., Chanthu Saleemkumar, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Deepak Parambol, Khalid Rahman, Arun Kurien and Vishnu Raghu have played the central characters in ‘Manjummal Boys’. The theme of the film is that a group of friends travel to Kodaikanal from Manjummal in Kochi and the unexpected situations they have to face from there. Manjummal Boys was released on February 22.
‘Manjummal Boys’ is a movie based on the true experience of the youths who went from Ernakulam Manjummal who rescued their friend who was trapped in Gunakev in Kotekanal in 2006. Produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir and Shaun Antony, the film is produced by Parava Films and Shree Gokulam Movies. All India distribution of the film, which was completed in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, was handled by Dream Big Films on behalf of Shree Gokulam Movies. UK distribution rights were also acquired by RFT Films.
