A chase ended in the Little Tokyo area after the car the authorities were chasing collided with several vehicles, this incident caused real chaos to several restaurants in the area.
The entire area was closed to traffic for about four hours, and the suspects after crashing their vehicle tried to hide among the businesses that were nearby.
The video recorded by security cameras of one of the local businesses, captured the moment when two people fled among the crowd of the authorities.
“We were waiting for our food when I heard get down close the door, go to the back, people started running, some over the counter we stayed in the back there we waited until it was all over,” said Aton Gunn, who was in the place of the events.
According to the sheriff’s department, it all started at Century Station around 5:30 p.m.
The vehicle that several patrols were chasing was related to a crime that occurred in the city of Garena, later it entered the Little Tokyo area to first collide with a Volkswagen, losing control and colliding with another vehicle that was parked, which caused panic. and fear among the people that there are several of them tourists.
“I’m from South Carolina, I don’t live in Los Angeles, we’re here to visit, we’re here to spend the 4th of July, and we never thought something like this would happen to us,” Gunn said.
The moment of the crash was so strong that it caught the attention of many, who told us that they imagined the worst.
“I heard a shocking noise, I ran to see what had happened, I saw the helicopters and then the car that crashed from where 2 people came out and ran, it scared me a little,” said Alexis Dupree.
Authorities reported that after a few minutes of searching, they arrested two people, who were transported to a county jail.
The good news is that no one was injured and authorities reported that they found no weapons in the subjects’ vehicle or at the scene.
