Hectic end of the evening this Friday around 11 p.m. in a café in Oupeye. There was an altercation between a 27-year-old young man and the customers present. The young man left the cafe but returned a few moments later with a bread knife… and with his parents! The young man threatened customers with the knife while his 44-year-old mother brandished a dummy gun!
The police of the Basse-Meuse area were called and went to the scene. She arrested the young man and his mother. They were referred this Saturday morning to the Liège prosecutor’s office. The young man is well known to Liège justice for other acts of threats and blows. The file was put under investigation with a request for an arrest warrant for the young man. His mother was not at all known to justice so far. Fortunately, there were no injuries to report.
