Jorge, the journalist who is doing a report on Leandro Díaz’s song, asks Matilde Lina to close her eyes and remember the lyrics of the song that they composed for her. She smiles and finally does the photo shoot with a sparkle in her eye that she only finds in Diaz’s compositions. During that same meeting, Jorge asks Matilde Lina where to find Leandro to talk to him, but she confesses that they haven’t talked for a long time, nor have they heard from each other.

Matilde Lina continues her ordinary life: she continues working in the restaurant next to Roberto, who begins to feel uncomfortable due to the media success of the song. In fact, during her shifts in the restaurant, people ask her to be Matilde Lina who brings them lunch, so she finally agrees without thinking that everyone would applaud her, singing the song that Díaz has composed for her.
Leandro Díaz for his part is encouraged to interpret the song he has composed for the workers of the cotton plantations. People get emotional and thank him for the song he has composed for them. The affection that the workers develop for the musician is such that they give him a standing ovation after his performance.
Hugo shows up at the restaurant and apologizes to Matilde Lina for everything he did in the past. He now wants to vindicate himself with both her and Leandro, and she tells him where he is. The next day, she confesses to Roberto that she is worried because she doesn’t know if she did the right thing by pointing out the place where the composer was. In the end, Hugo finds Leandro’s whereabouts at Doña Zoila’s pension.
Matilde Lina realizes that Pedrito is no longer at home. She can’t find him anywhere and what she doesn’t know is that someone has tricked him away. She is desperate and apparently there is no trace of her son, however she finally finds him: Moses, her true father, had taken him from her.
