If you had the paid version of ChatGPT, then you may have tested the plugins allowing you to access the Internet. However, these quickly disappeared. For what ? Quite simply because these allowed access to pages that normally paid for. So ChatGPT needed a little more time to find a solution.
Apparently, the problem is now resolved, because the functionality is making a comeback in an update which will finally allow ChatGPT to know the identity of the King of England or the geopolitical situation in the world in 2023, while, until ‘at present, ChatBot knowledge was limited to September 2021 (January 2022 for the paid version for a few weeks).
Unsurprisingly, the ability for ChatGPT to browse the web using Bing (OpenAI is in partnership with Microsoft) will initially be the privilege of paid accounts. But that might change quite quickly, as the feature should eventually be available to everyone.
