The performer of the hit “Vernissage” became a defendant in a criminal case. Her words in defense of herself and her star friend Alla Pugacheva outraged the deputies of the Latvian Seimas to the core. In particular, deputy Aldis Gobzems promised to punish Laima Vaikule to the fullest extent of the law.
The official said that the artist thus frankly and publicly admitted to the terrible. Financing the USSR, in his opinion, is not at all a blessing, but a crime and a shame. The singer, proud of her merits, is now waiting for a trial and, apparently, expulsion from Latvia.
“What we have heard is an open Pandora’s box. Laima’s admission of financing the USSR is a coming out. This is international terrorism. This is financing the Afghan conflict, this is financing the occupation of Latvia. This is financing the genocide of the Ukrainian people. <...> We are starting a criminal case with the deprivation of Vaikule of citizenship and granting the status of a non-citizen of Latvia. I personally will achieve the maximum term,” the representative of the Seimas said.
It is worth noting that not all residents of the USSR were grateful to the artist. Netizens explained to Laima Stanislavovna that ordinary people paid for tickets to her concerts, which means that they themselves “fed” the country. Some even remembered exactly how Vaikule “maintained” a huge country.
In social networks, spicy pictures appeared, in which the young singer is depicted in an erotic outfit. She is kneeling bare-backed in one of the institutions of Jurmala.
