London: English club Chelsea sacked coach Thomas Tukel following the defeat once morest Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. The decision of the club was unexpected following the defeat of the Croatian club by a single goal in the match held on Tuesday.
Chelsea beat Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final under Tukel. Apart from the Champions League title, Tukel is also the coach who won the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup for Chelsea.
Chelsea are currently in sixth place in the Premier League with three wins, one draw and two losses following six matches.
