LONDON (AP) — Chelsea suffered its third defeat in four Premier League games thanks to second-half goals from Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty as Wolverhampton won 2-1 at Molineux on Sunday.

Lemina headed the ball wide following Pablo Sarabia’s corner kick in the second half, a reward following Gary O’Neil’s team overcame early pressure and several missed shots, including one by Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea fought and found space to advance, but as has been the case almost all season, they failed to make the key pass in the final meters and Cole Palmer was ineffective.

In added time and with the visitors taking the lead, Hugo Bueno sent a cross pass to Doherty, who took advantage of the poor defense to shoot at the goal.

Christopher Nkunku made his debut for Chelsea and quickly gave the London team a break and shot at the goal, but Toti denied him the goal.

He finally scored his first goal for the team in the final minutes, but Mauricio Pochettino’s team suffered its third consecutive away defeat.

With the victory, the Wolves are placed 11th in the standings, with the same number of points as the visitors from West London, who have a better goal difference.
