Ghanaian Christian Atsu, the former Chelsea and Newcastle player and Saudi captain, was found alive after he was trapped under the rubble following the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday.
According to the British newspaper “Mirror”, the former Ghanaian international player, who is currently playing in the ranks of the Turkish Hatayspor, was found.
It was reported that he was rescued from the rubble and taken to hospital after sustaining injuries to his right foot, and he also suffers from difficulty breathing.
The 31-year-old had represented Portuguese clubs Porto, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle, in addition to Spanish club Malaga, and the Saudi pioneer before moving to the Turkish league.
