The matches of the 23rd round of the English championship took place with the participation of Ukrainians Mykhailo Mudryk and Ilya Zabarny.
In fights of the 23rd round of the English Premier League (EPL) “Chelsea” Mykhailo Mudryka was defeated by Wolverhampton (2:4), “Bournemouth” another Ukrainian, Ilya Zabarny, played a draw at home against “Nottingham” (1:1).
In the 19th minute of the meeting, Cole Palmer put the “blues” ahead, but the “wolves” quickly recovered – three minutes later Mateus Cunha scored. And before the break, the guests took the lead – in the 43rd minute, London defender Axel Disasi scored an own goal.
In the second half, “Wolverhampton” managed to develop its advantage – in the 63rd minute, Cunha scored a double, and in the 82nd, he converted a penalty, thus making a hat trick in the match.
Mudryk started the game on the bench and came on in the 72nd minute, replacing Raheem Sterling. In the 86th minute, Mykhailo distinguished himself with a goal assist – the Ukrainian made a pass from a corner, which was closed by Thiago Silva.
Let’s add that this season, the Ukrainian winger has three goals and one assist in 18 matches in the Premier League.
Despite Mudryk’s assist, Mauricio Pochettino’s wards could not avoid defeat. “Chelsea” (31 points) dropped to 11th place in the Premier League. “Wolverhampton” (32 points) rose to the tenth position.
In the next round, “Chelsea” will have an away match against “Crystal Palace” on February 12, and “Wolverhampton” will host “Brentford” of Ukrainian Yehor Yarmoluk on February 10.

In the parallel match of the 23rd round of the English championship, “Bournemouth” took the lead in the 5th minute thanks to the efforts of Justin Kluivert. But the “cherries” could not keep the winning score – in the 45th minute, Callum Hudson-Odoi brought “Nottingham” a draw with his goal.
“Cherries” ended the match in the minority – in the 84th minute, Danish midfielder Philip Billing earned a straight red card.
Zabarny was in the starting line-up of “Bournemouth” and spent the entire match on the field. This game was the 22nd of the current EPL season for the Ukrainian defender.
After this match, “Bournemouth” (27 points) occupies the 12th place in the Premier League table. “Nottingham” (21 points) is on the 16th step.
In the next round, Zabarny’s team will play away against Fulham on February 10. On the same day, “Nottingham” will meet “Newcastle” on its own field.
