Chennai Super Kings officials honored the stars of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ who made the nation proud at the Oscars. Captain MS Dhoni gifted the film’s director Karthiki Gonsalves and actors Bomman and Belli his number 7 jersey with their names on it at a post-training ceremony at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Dhoni welcomed Boman and Belly with open arms as they treated the elephants like their own children.
Dhoni had a friendly chat with the Oscar winners and posed for a photo and introduced his daughter Ziva to them. Dhoni did not forget to take the Oscar award which was held by them. CSK’s donation to Muthumala Sanctuary for the protection of elephants was also handed over at the event. Chennai Super Kings shared the video of the Oscar winners’ visit on their official Twitter account with the caption ‘Special people who have arrived on a special occasion’.
The plot of the 40-minute long ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ is about Bomman and Belli, natives of Muthumala, Tamil Nadu, who devoted their lives to the care of abandoned baby elephants in the forest, and their two baby elephants, Raghu and Ammu.
