Tsu, Kochi, Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto

Compared to last year, when the trees bloomed at a record time, they are blooming later this year in all areas. Yokohama was the slowest city compared to last year, with an announcement 17 days later.

This year, while mid-February was the warmest on record, there were many days with lower-than-normal temperatures from late February to early March. Although there was a temporary high temperature day in mid-March, just before flowering, the temperature continued to be lower than average once more, which appears to have delayed flowering at many locations.

Flowering has begun and is expected to reach full bloom quickly
