Chery will bring a new flagship sedan and hybrid crossover to Russia in 2023 :: Autonews

The Chinese manufacturer Chery has announced the release of three new cars on the Russian market in 2023, the company’s press service reports. The model range of the brand will be replenished with a crossover with a hybrid power plant, a flagship sedan, as well as a new version of the Tiggo 7 Pro Max. In addition, Chery will release restyled versions of the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 crossovers.

In January 2023, the company will officially introduce a new crossover of the Tiggo family – Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. In addition, a new hybrid crossover will appear in Russia over the next year. It will be equipped with three engines – gasoline and two electric motors, which will work in conjunction with the new DHT transmission. According to the manufacturer, such a power plant will allow to overcome distances of more than 75 km, using only the energy of electric motors, while fuel consumption in the combined cycle will be 1 liter per 100 km.

The list of announced new products also includes a flagship sedan. The technical characteristics of the car were not disclosed in the company, however, they noted that the Chinese flagship received a powerful power unit and rich functional equipment. This, according to Chery, will allow the model to take its place among the D-class cars.

The company did not name official dates and prices for cars.

Formerly a division of Chery New Energy announced the release of a new SUV with code designation eQ7. It is assumed that the model will be a continuation of the Ant electric vehicle line with an enlarged body.

The price in the Chinese market of the eQ5 model varies from 149 thousand to 189 thousand yuan (1.49–1.89 million rubles), depending on the configuration.
