The businesswoman’s company and Balocco had been fined one million euros by the Competition Office around three weeks earlier for “unfair business practices”. But things have now gotten worse for Ferragni after Milan prosecutors opened an investigation into fraud against her. Prosecutors should also reportedly investigate other charitable initiatives supported by the 36-year-old. Campaigns for Easter eggs and a doll may have had similar patterns.
“I am sure that the investigation will show my innocence. I have full confidence in the work of the judiciary and I have immediately made myself available with my lawyers to work with them and clarify all the details of what happened as quickly as possible.” said the businesswoman in a statement in January.
Rapper Fedez, whose real name is Federico Leonardo Lucia, was suffering from cancer. In 2002 he announced details of his illness on Instagram. He wrote at the time that he had a rare tumor on his pancreas that was removed in a six-hour operation.
