‘Chicago’ bids farewell to Baluarte this afternoon with one last performance

The final showing of the quintessential Broadway musical will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are still available.

The Main Hall of Bulwark This afternoon hosts the sixth and final performance of the musical quintessential Broadway, Chicagoat 5:30 p.m. Set in the midst of the extravagant decadence of the 1920s, in the midst of prohibition and the jazz years, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two ambitious women imprisoned for crimes of passion, who fight to win the favor of Billy Flynn, a famous lawyer who uses the tabloid press to secure the freedom of his clients. Both will fight to achieve fame at all costs.

This whole story is surrounded by impressive dances and well-known songs, such as All That Jazz, When You’re Good To Mama o Cell Block Tangoperformed live and in Spanish by around thirty actors/actresses, singers and dancers. The numbers also support this musical written by Bob Fosse and Fred Ebb and with music by John Kander: more than 34 million spectators around the world have seen Chicago; it has been acclaimed in 36 countries and has been awarded more than 60 international prizes, including 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards and 1 Grammy.

Tickets for this vaudeville cost between €39 and €59 and can be purchased on the website www.baluarte.com, at the Baluarte box office and at the NICDO information and sales point in the La Morea Shopping Centre.
