Pérez hit a .254/.292/.465 batting line with 23 home runs, as many doubles, 76 RBIs and a .757 OPS in a season considered low-key by his standards. Remember that the Venezuelan hit 48 homers and drove in 121 runs in 2021, coming seventh in the American League MVP voting, winning the Silver Slugger and receiving an invitation to the All-Star Game.
