The Australian-born used his Instagram account to tell: “Hearing the word cancer came as a shock to my wife and I, as it does to millions of families each year”although he stated: “I am determined to embrace the fight and overcome this new challenge with the same determination that I have used when facing other obstacles in my life.”

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is, according to what the American Cancer Society reports, a disease that “begins in white blood cells called lymphocytes that are part of the body’s immune system”.
