A child abuse case was reported in a primary school in Kota Bharu, the capital of Kelantan, Malaysia. An 8-year-old boy named “Asiya” who was in the second grade of the elementary school had a dispute with a classmate and was sued by the other party. The teacher slapped the boy wildly, causing the boy’s cheeks to become red and swollen, and both ears to bleed. He was sent to the hospital for 2 days.

According to a report by the Malaysian media “China Press”, when the boy’s father Kailu recently picked up the child from school, he found that Asiya’s cheeks were severely red and swollen, and his expression seemed to be gritted his teeth. After questioning, he learned that the teacher was punishing the child and his classmates. During the quarrel, the boy was slapped several times. After the boy staggered and fell to the ground, the teacher still didn’t let him go. He grabbed the boy by his collar and yelled at his face again.

Kailu said that he immediately took the child to the hospital. After examination by the doctor, he found that his son’s facial soft tissue was injured and his ears were bleeding. He was finally hospitalized for 2 days for observation. At the same time, he also reported to the principal’s office and reported to the police. “This matter must not be taken lightly. Not only does it cause skin trauma to the child, but the child may also have psychological shadows.” In this regard, the Kota Bharu police stated that they have received relevant case reports and are currently investigating.
