Child Psychotherapist Wanted for Munich’s Chronic Fatigue Center

Munich, Germany – The Chronic Fatigue Centrum for Young People (MCFC), affiliated wiht the Polyclinic for Pediatric And Adolescent Medicine, is actively seeking a dedicated child psychotherapist to join their team. this limited-term (22 months), full- or part-time position offers a unique possibility to contribute to the care of young patients suffering from chronic fatigue, including post-viral fatigue and long-covid.

Responsibilities of the Child Psychotherapist

The child psychotherapist will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:

  • Conducting (Neuro) psychological diagnostics of children and adolescents with post-viral fatigue, including long-covid.
  • Implementing and developing questionnaire screenings and diagnostic interviews.
  • Creating individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions in both outpatient and semi-inpatient settings.
  • providing consultations and interventions via telemedicine to patients and their families.
  • Networking with aftercare facilities, schools, employers, and payers to ensure extensive support.
  • Collaborating with doctors and therapists in an interdisciplinary habitat.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • full approval as a child and adolescent psychotherapist.
  • Strong knowledge of neuropsychological test diagnostics.
  • An keen attitude and a genuine interest in caring for patients with chronic diseases.
  • A high degree of independence, personal responsibility, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and IT skills, especially with MS office applications.
  • Proficiency in German (C1 level) and English (B2 level), both spoken and written.
