Children in cities: why have they become invisible except when leaving school?

For several decades, in the streets of Western cities, we see few children. The ” all car ”, the buses, the fears of accidents or kidnappings on the part of the parents, the lack of green spaces have gradually sent the children back to their rooms.

The city is not seen as a dream playground for his offspring. However, learning autonomy, well-being, awakening… also involves discovering one’s environment, however urban it may be. What image of the city do we pass on to our children? How to make it less hostile and more playful so that the youngest reclaim the urban space?
