Chile also files an appeal with FIFA

Algeria is not the only one to assert its right of appeal to FIFA in the context of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. Chile, through the voice of its federation, filed this Thursday an appeal with the FIFA against Ecuador who is accused of having fielded an ineligible player during the qualifying match between the two selections.

These two appeals, still awaiting a decision, now see a third astonishing file added to the pile of requests filed with the FIFA office.
