A particular controversy broke out on social networks after the Spanish magazine ¡Hola! published a note highlighting Pedro Pascal as “the actor with Spanish roots who succeeds with The Last of Us”.
The publication received a shower of comments defending the Chilean origin of the actor, who has risen to world fame with his performances in series such as Narcos, Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian and now, The Last of Us.

in conversation with The latest news, José Balmaceda, father of the interpreter, came out to end the discussion. Although he confirmed that Pedro has Spanish ancestors, “he is Chilean through and through.”
“Pedro’s grandmother was born in Mallorca.
