Beijing: China will start mining again in search of natural gas reserves. Excavate up to ten thousand meters (10 km) deep for mining. Mining will be done under the leadership of China National Petroleum Corporation. This is the second time this year that China has been drilling for natural gas.
Mining started in Sichuan province. China’s new decision is to mine at a depth of 10,520 meters. The China National Petroleum Corporation began drilling in Xinjiang in May on a trial basis. This was to ensure the viability of the technology used for mining.
In this excavation, Sichuan was found to have large reserves of shale gas. With this, a new project has been formed with the goal of finding natural gas reserves in Sichuan.
