Beijing: Strict restrictions on transport in Beijing following the expansion of Kovid. Several subway stations were reportedly closed. Subway stations play a major role in the travel of people in the Chinese capital of over 21 million people. The restrictions in Beijing follow the restrictions in the trade area of Shanghai. People have been stranded at home for more than a month following Kovid’s rediscovery of a business hub in Shanghai. Residential centers reported in Beijing are currently closed.
The May holidays are usually the busiest. But as restrictions have been tightened, many tourist attractions have been closed and eating out at restaurants has been banned. The entrances to more than 40 subway stations and 158 bus routes have been closed. Many movie theaters, malls and gyms in the city were closed by the end of last month.
