Islamabad:China has temporarily closed the consular section of its embassy in Pakistan due to technical reasons. The exact reason was not given. The move comes days following Chinese citizens were warned regarding the worsening security situation in Pakistan.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorist organization, which unilaterally withdrew from the peace agreement with the government last year, has been carrying out frequent terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Various terrorist organizations in Pakistan have been carrying out attacks on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is part of China’s global infrastructure development plan.
