China is reportedly building six new modern guided missile warships

Beijing : China is reportedly building six new modern guided missile warships to challenge the US. Images of five vessels believed to be part of the Luang III-class Type 052 warship range under construction at the Dalian Shipyard in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province have recently surfaced on Chinese social media. A warship of this class is also reportedly under construction at Jiangnan Changxing Shipyard in northeast Shanghai.

The Chinese Navy currently has 25 Type 052 warships. New vessels will also be part of this fleet as construction is completed. Type 052 warships are capable of carrying cruise missiles and torpedoes. At the same time, the Chinese government has not confirmed that the ships are under construction. By 2035, China is on the move to make its defense line stronger and more modern.

Currently, the Chinese Navy has the world’s largest fleet of warships and submarines. It is estimated that the Chinese military has a total of 777 ships (including submarines, aircraft carriers, etc.). For the US it is 490. Of these, the US has more warships (destroyers) than China. The US has 92 warships and China has 41. The US leads in technology and power.
