Beijing, China (CNN) — The Chinese Foreign Ministry said, on Tuesday, that Beijing welcomes businessman Elon Musk and other businessmen to visit China and promote mutually beneficial cooperation.
“China has always welcomed businessmen from different countries, including Mr. Musk, to visit China to better understand China’s efforts and promote mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning at a regular briefing.
Mao Ning’s remarks came in response to a question about a Archyde.com report that said Elon Musk is expected to visit China this week and meet senior Chinese officials.
“We are glad to see foreign companies investing in China, to deepen the Chinese market and share in development opportunities,” Mao added.
