XICHANG, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) — China on Sunday launched a Long March-2D carrier missile.2D), which transports a remote sensing satellite into space.

Long March-2D rocket Take off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center In Sichuan Province (Sichuan) in the southwest at 9:58 a.m. (Beijing time) and sent the Yaogan-39 satellite into the designated orbit.

The satellite transport marks the 500th flight of the Long March family of carrier rockets.
