China Institute of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT) reported that mobile phone sales in China stood at 18.08 million units in April, down 34.2 percent from the same period last year.

Sales of 5G mobile phones in April alone were 14.59 million units, accounting for 80.7% of total shipments.
Chinese mobile phone brands continue to dominate the Chinese mobile market. By in April A total of 16.43 million units shipped or accounted for 90.9% of the total.
Smartphone sales in China were 17.69 million units last month, down 34.4 percent year-on-year.
