China’s Private Funds Reach 20.75 Trillion Yuan: Latest Statistics from China Asset Management Association

BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) — China’s private funds generated a total of 20.75 trillion yuan (regarding 2.95 trillion U.S. dollars) as of the end of May, according to data from an industry association.

The figure rose 2.05 percent on a monthly basis, according to the China Asset Management Association.

China had more than 153,700 private funds at the end of April, and the number of institutions that managed these funds was 22,270, according to data from the association.

Founded in 2012, the association is a self-regulatory organization that represents China’s mutual fund industry. END
