Emphasis on preventing revolution by foreign intervention

While attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Uzbekistan, President Xi ordered the strengthening of cooperation in order to protect national security and national interests in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of SCO member states.
The SCO, which was formed under the leadership of China and Russia, aims to strengthen mutual trust and friendship, and aims for international cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, culture, education, and science.
The member states are composed of six countries: Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, all of which have experienced political instability due to the color revolution in the socialist political system. This is why President Xi emphasized the prevention of revolution.
On that day, Xi did not specifically mention the situation in Ukraine during the meeting.
However, Xi said that he promised to subsidize the cost of training about 2,000 law enforcement officers in SCO member states over the next five years, and said that the purpose of the training was to train counter-terrorism personnel.
At the same time, President Xi encouraged the participation of SCO member states in the ‘Global Security Initiative’ announced in April. The goal of the Global Security Initiative is that the security or interests of a particular country should not be reinforced at the expense of other countries.
Xi also pledged to provide $214 million in grain and emergency aid to developing countries, calling China’s economy “full of endless potential.”
