Terrorist attack on Chinese engineers in Lahore, Pakistan. Two Baloch terrorists attacked a convoy of engineers working on infrastructure development projects in the port city of Gwadar. Both were shot dead by security forces. It is reported that no engineers or other Pakistani citizens were injured. A large number of Chinese currently work in Gwadar, which is connected to Xinjiang province as part of the China-–Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Balochistan Liberation Army, which claimed responsibility for the attack, opposes Chinese investments in the region, saying it does not benefit the local population.
