Chip promotion on Animal Day | Municipality of Beverwijk

Every year, tens of thousands of cats, dogs and other pets run away in the Netherlands. Many of these pets never return home. They often end up in a shelter, but others remain on the streets for a long time.

With a registered chip, your lost pet can always be traced back to your home. Chipping is relatively painless and can be compared to a vaccination.

Where does the chip promotion take place?

The chip campaign on Animal Day takes place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Kennemerland Animal Ambulance at Kleine Houtweg 35 in Heemskerk. You only pay 10 euros per chip (including registration), the municipality will reimburse the other costs. Making an appointment is allowed, but is not necessary.
