The Companhia de Saneamento de Sergipe (DESO), aiming to expand the supply and quality of water, installed a new and modern automatic chlorine gas dosing system at the Cabrita Water Treatment Station, located in the metropolitan region of Aracaju (SE).

Supplied by the company PQA (Produtos Químicos Aracruz), the project developed and completed by Fluid Feeder, a company in the area of equipment and services for water and effluent treatment, certified by ISO 9001:2015, provides the correct dosage and continuous monitoring of chlorine gas , thus ensuring a higher quality standard of drinking water.

“The automatic chlorine gas system delivers a constant quality standard, as its purpose is to always keep the residual chlorine at a precise level. When dosing is done manually, it can pass a little, causing loss or lack of input, causing a lack of quality”, analyzes Francisco Oliver, industrial technical director of Fluid Feeder.

This is the first equipment of its kind supplied to DESO. Widely used in treatment stations due to its practicality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness, the expectation is that other ETAs in the region will soon start to rely on this innovation.

As a result, DESO reaps quite significant benefits, such as savings in inputs, as eventual dosage failures are avoided, and better use of labor for tasks that require an analytical look for decision making.
