Choosing a first name for your child is an extremely important step. There are some for whom it is obvious, while others search for months. But certain first names, even common ones, are generally mispronounced…
Imagine that you have spent several months agreeing on a first name for your future child and then, after his birth, no one pronounces it correctly… We agree: it doesn’t… ™is not ideal. But then, what is the first name that is most often mispronounced?
A recent study looked into the question, as reported by Cosmopolitan. The company World Finder And, surprisingly, the least pronounced first name is not very rare or too long.

Among the audios of the most searched for boys’ names on the Forvo site, we find an English one, at the very top of the list: Sean. This first name has been searched a million times on the site, to find out how to pronounce it.
Obviously, he is not the only one. We then find the Basque first name Xuxa (searched 802,000 times), Alexander (searched 422,000 times), Benjamin (searched 399,000 times), Michael (searched 364,000 times) and finally Thomas (searched 344,000 times).
A rather surprising classification, because we find several very common first names here.
