"Chris Jordan replaces Jofra Archer in Mumbai Indians: Latest IPL 2023 updates"

Mumbai: Mumbai Indians pacer Jofra Archer will not play in the remaining matches of this IPL season. Instead, Mumbai signed a contract with England’s own star, Chris Jordan. Chris Jordan may play in today’s match against Bangalore.

Jordan made his IPL debut in 2016 and has played 28 matches so far. He has 27 wickets to his name.

Due to injury, Archer has managed to play only 5 out of 10 matches for Mumbai this season. Only two wickets were saved.

Archer has taken 48 wickets in 40 matches in his IPL career. Archer was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 crore in the IPL mega auction.

Rohit Sharma expected Archer to lead Mumbai in the absence of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has missed the entire 2023 season with a back injury. Now the weight of that expectation will fall on Chris Jordan.

Chris Jordan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season.
