Chrislain Matsima will end the season away from the Rock. Blocked last summer by his management when he was the subject of a transfer offer from Udinese, the 21-year-old Monegasque defender, extended in October until 2026, will be loaned to Clermont, as revealed by Le Parisien. The deal between the two clubs does not include a purchase option. In Monaco, he has only appeared 5 times this season in L1.
Matsima should not be the only defender to fill the Clermont squad. One or two additional recruits, including Rennais Jérémy Jacquet on loan, are hoped for in this sector by the end of the transfer window.
