After Milei’s victory, the singer shared a statement from the ATE Cultura union, where they expressed solidarity “with fellow TC workers threatened with sanctions and dismissals by the macrista-libertarian coalition.” There he had added some words of his own.
“Stop talking nonsense guys. All this ended yesterday, dear compatriots, understand that democracy is tolerance and the republic is freedom. Show this post to your classmates and Don’t break the balls, stable stewards”, he published, also tagging one of the union members.
Because of this label, the union issued a declaration of “persona non grata” and the theater moved forward with a dismissal for “aggression and mistreatment on the networks,” according to the newspaper La Nación.
“For the current 2023 season, the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, official artistic institution of the Province of Buenos Aires, entrusted me with the solo bass part of the Requiem Mass by Giuseppe Verdi. After having carried out all the scheduled rehearsals, today, Wednesday the 22nd –that is, three days before the first concert– I am informed by the Management of the Argentine Theater that it is dispensing with my services, evidently for non-artistic reasons,” the singer had denounced on his networks after the dismissal.
According to the statement, six members of the Theater’s Stable Choir proposed in an assembly to condemn their expressions on social networks, and from that they moved forward with the dismissal.
“The first coliseum of the Province of Buenos Aires has decided to boycott my work and censor me for reasons of an ideological nature, given my statements in which it is clear that I do not adhere under any point of view to the thoughts and actions of the government. national Peronist nor that of the provincial Justicialist efforts,” he concluded.
