Four new winners receive scholarships from Bern and Jura. The Intercantonal Commission for Performing Arts (CicaS) has designated four regional artists and collectives rewarded with grants totaling 50,000 francs, the organization announced in a press release this Monday. These grants are awarded to allow cultural actors in the region to “carry out professional development without the pressure inherent in a work production context”, specifies CicaS.
The four winners are the Jura collective Besili Trafic as well as the Biel collective Panorama Kino Theater for the modernization of their administrative structure, followed by the duo Eve Chariatte and Gregory Stauffer for research work in the forest, and finally Zackary Matthey-Pierret for work circus on the Korean seesaw.
“CicaS is receiving a growing number of requests, demonstrating the importance of such support for aiding artistic development” concludes the Commission. The next scholarship award will take place at the end of 2024. /edr
