A citizen was arrested for being the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a man identified as Francisco Torrealba, who was stabbed to death and thrown into a drain in the Mi Campito sector of Ciudad Bolívar.
The investigations into the case were carried out by sleuths from the homicide division of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc).
Sources linked to the case reported that the arrest took place in Anaco, Anzoátegui state.
The accused is known by the alias of “el Catire”, until now his identity has not been disclosed; the causes and details of the commission of the crime have not been revealed by the authorities.
His case was left in the hands of the Public Ministry in the municipality of Angostura del Orinoco.
Torrealba was found dead this Tuesday after being missing for three days. His body was lying in a drain and he had stab wounds. He was transferred to the morgue of the Ruiz y Páez Hospital.
