Cinécomédies Festival: A Tribute to Michel Serrault and the History of French Comedy

The Cinécomédies festival is back in the capital of Flanders until Sunday. A weekend of big fun in perspective in the city’s dark rooms, with on the program: screenings of classics, previews, and a 6th edition which pays tribute to Michel Serrault, the actor who died in 2007.

An unmissable event that brings the whole family together for a journey to the heart of the most cult comedies in the history of French cinema.

After Jean Gabin, Pierre Richard, Gérard Oury, Bourvil and Jean-Paul Belmondo, CineComedies has chosen for its sixth edition to pay tribute to this cult and popular personality of French cinema, and offers a retrospective of his most emblematic comedies.

This is the objective of this festival, supported since 2018 by the Association Les Amis de CineComedies. Saturday October 14, meet at 5:30 p.m. UGC Ciné Cité for the screening of the film The Kings of Gag by Claude Zidi in the presence of Didier Kaminka, his screenwriter. Sunday October 15, at 5 p.m. Metropolisa tribute will be paid to the director Jacques Rozier, with the screening of Ninth Nénesse in the presence of his co-director and co-writer Pascal Thomas and his favorite actor Bernard Ménez. In the end, until Sunday, around twenty cult films will be screened in different cultural venues in Lille: the UGC Ciné Cité, Le Métropole, Palais Rihour, Gare Saint-Sauveur and the Casino Barrière theater. A wonderful remedy against ambient gloom to consume without moderation.
