Calls for tenders are underway in Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Marche and Veneto, financed with the resources of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), for over 50 million euros, to support companies that focus on energy efficiency and circular economy.
The circular economy in Emilia Romagna
In Emilia Romagna, with 10 million euros, the program called “Promotion of the circular economy and waste reduction in the regional production system” supports projects (presented by SMEs and professionals) for the reduction of manufacturing waste materials. Incentives also for those who reuse waste from production. The amount granted ranges from 300 thousand to 2 million euros depending on the formula used. Applications can be submitted until May 10th. Those involved in aquaculture, primary production of fishery products and agricultural products are excluded.
In Lombardy 5 million
The tender promoted by Lombardy follows the same trend and makes 5 million euros available to businesses. The initiative (opening on May 7th and closing on June 18th) supports the projects of Lombardy SMEs that aim to reduce the production of waste in the plastics and textile supply chains, with better management of waste disposal. Small and medium-sized enterprises can participate individually and in aggregate. The contribution cannot exceed 50% of the expenses but in any case cannot exceed 300 thousand euros.
In the Marche we also look at the villages
The Marche Region has extended the “Sustainable and digital innovation” call until May 10th, with a grant of 28 million euros to support the innovative projects of companies that want to reconvert their business following circular economy models. Of the total amount, 5 million are intended exclusively for financing projects aimed at the villages. The total cost of the investment must not be less than 25 thousand euros for single initiatives and 100 thousand euros for those carried out in aggregate form.
In Veneto the circular economy for SMEs
The tender developed by the Veneto Region to support companies that aim to grow by exploiting the leverage of the circular economy is worth 7.2 million euros. Financing is foreseen for the re-engineering of the product or packaging, plant engineering and projects for the reduction of resource consumption and valorisation of processing waste. Financing from 45% to 70% depending on the type of company. Applications until 5pm on 18 July 2024.
