Good news for users of the Cisa, the Parma-La Spezia motorway (A15) managed by Salt (Astm group). In view of the Easter holidays, the dealership communicates the removal of all long construction sites the A15, with the exception of the modernization works underway on the Gravagna viaduct (located immediately after the pass tunnel for those traveling towards La Spezia). In detail, by 10pm on 27 March 2024 and until 1pm on 2 April 2024 the concessionaire will remove all construction sites currently in place along the stretch aimed at renovating and adapting the viaducts to current technical construction standards. During the Easter period it is estimated that over 3 thousand vehicles/hour they will travel on the route at peak times.

After the Easter holidays, in addition to the construction site for the reconstruction of the Gravagna viaduct, just another construction site (relating to works on the Rivi Freddi and Binaghetto viaducts in correspondence with the roadway towards La Spezia, Berceto-Valico section) will resume on midweek days and will continue to be removed during weekends.

Salt, in agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, is in fact engaged in a major plan to modernize and adapt the A15 Parma-La Spezia to the highest quality and safety standards, an infrastructure built between the 1960s and 1970s. with approaches and design logics different from those of today and on the basis of traffic loads that are decidedly lower than the current ones, in terms of both entity and frequency.

Among the main modernization works underway, one of the most important concerns the construction site relating to the demolition and reconstruction of the Gravagna viaduct, an iconic work built in the early seventies, located in the province of Massa Carrara between the Pontremoli and Berceto toll booths, near the pass tunnel that separates Tuscany from Emilia Romagna. The phases of the project began in autumn 2023 demolition and reconstruction of the worka particularly complex intervention, which requires dismantling segment by segmentwith the same sequence with which the work was built at the time, and then proceed to reconstruction of the decks, one at a time.
