Eduardo António Tchimuco, 43 years old, was arrested last Friday by the National Police in the municipality of Caconda, 236 kilometers north of the city of Lubango, capital of the province of Huíla, accused of sexually abusing and killing his wife stepdaughter.

The incident occurred on the night of the 29th of February, when the victim, aged 20, left his residence in the town of Cusse, which is 50 kilometers from the municipality of Caconda, to the house of one of his relatives. .
According to the spokesman for the Municipal Command of the National Police in Caconda, sub-inspector Manuel Ernesto, along the way, the stepfather surprised his stepdaughter, having then dragged her to a place where he carried out the entire action.
“The Municipal Command of Caconda became aware of a case of sexual rape with penetration, combined with homicide by asphyxiation, in which a 20-year-old citizen, incidentally the stepdaughter of the accused, was the victim,” he said.
On the other hand, the spokesperson for the Municipal Command of the National Police in Caconda reported that the police forces became aware of what had happened through a public complaint, which led to his arrest the morning after the incident.
“After committing the crime that fatally killed his stepdaughter, the 43-year-old citizen left the body at the scene and went to his residence as if nothing had happened. However, as a result of a public complaint, this citizen was detained and later sent to a guarantee judge,” he explained.
Accused admits to choking stepdaughter
Eduardo António Tchimuco, 43 years old, confessed, in an interview with Jornal OPAÍS, to having killed his stepdaughter by asphyxiation in the town of Cusse, municipality of Caconda.
When asked about the reasons that led him to commit the crime, in which his 20-year-old stepdaughter was the victim, he replied that he was out of his mind when it all happened, until the following morning.
The accused, who only communicates in the local Umbundu language, denies the crime of sexual abuse against his stepdaughter, however admits to having removed the victim’s clothes, as a form of punishment.
“I killed my daughter and I don’t know how it happened. My daughter didn’t obey me. Whenever she told him something, she didn’t do it. I did not sexually abuse my daughter, I did remove her clothes, because I was the one who bought them, that’s why I removed them from her”, she admitted.
Sub-inspector Manuel Ernesto reported that in the municipality of Caconda the crime situation is under control, especially cases of robbery and theft of cattle and goats.
Even so, our source revealed, the police authorities in that municipality in the province of Huíla are concerned about the existence of cases of robbery and theft of motorbikes, using firearms and bladed weapons.
