The National Police arrested, on Wednesday, in the municipality of Kuvango, Huíla, a 25-year-old individual, for physically attacking and keeping his 19-year-old cousin in private prison for 48 hours, for allegedly having romantic relationships with the your wife.
When speaking about the matter, the head of the PN command post in Kuvango, sub-inspector Francisco Gaspar Cadiz, said that the case occurred in the town of Linduva, commune of Galangue, 55 kilometers from the municipal headquarters, on the 18th of the current month , when one of the suspect’s cousins got involved with his sister-in-law and was found in the act.
He explained that after finding his cousin undressed with his sister-in-law at his home, the suspect attacked him with a stick and tied the victim’s genitals, making him walk around the neighborhood naked, as a way of “disciplining” him.
“He was held in private prison from the 18th of the current month until the 20th, the day we became aware of the criminal incident, resulting in the suspect being detained at 9:30 am”, he added.
The junior officer highlighted that the victim had minor injuries to the genitals and other parts of the body, but has already received medical assistance, as well as being discharged from hospital, and is currently with his family.
The municipality of Cuvango is 356 kilometers east of Lubango, on the border with Cuando Cubango, through Cuchi, with an estimated population of 106,421 inhabitants.
