Al-Marsad newspaper: The General Directorate of Passports clarified that if the expatriate wishes to add his children and his non-religious wife to his residence permit, the wife must obtain an independent residence at her legally prescribed fee of 500 riyals.

According to “Okaz”, the directorate indicated that the procedures for requesting adding wives and minor children to the residence permit of the head of the family consist in filling out the application form and matching the information to reality as recorded in the passport, and signing the form from the head of the family.

And she continued, the procedures include bringing the passport of the wife and children to be added, topped with an entry visa issued by the Saudi embassy to reside with their guardian or the legal document to add them, and to bring a separate and colored photo of “4 x 6” for each family member, and to bring the original residence of the head of the family to which they are to be added. .

She added, that if the religion of the wife to be added is different from the religion of the husband, she must obtain an independent residence. , and then added to the residence of her husband.

She indicated that if the minor children required to be added to the residence of the head of the family were born in Saudi Arabia, the original and copy of the birth certificate must be brought, and the procedures require the presence of a medical report from one of the approved hospitals or clinics.
