The NFL is back and with it the amfoo.de top game of the week is back. Every week we will present you a game that we will report on in more detail than the other games on Sunday.
This week we chose the game Cleveland Browns vs Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys got the ball first, but had to give it up after just three attempts. The Browns’ first drive went better. After an attack of just over three minutes, Dustin Hopkins was successful with a field goal from 51 yards. 3-0 Browns.
But from now on, it’s only the Cowboys who play. With the next attack, which lasted about two and a half minutes, the Texans scored their first touchdown. Dak Prescott served Brandin Cooks for 21 yards for the touchdown. 7-3 Cowboys.
The Browns had to leave the field after only three attempts, but the Cowboys’ next attack also brought nothing. But the Browns had to leave the field again with a three and out. The Cowboys’ next attack began exactly at the start of the second quarter. But this attack was also over after three attempts. For the third time in a row, Cleveland fared no better. Then life finally came back into the house, after an attack lasting almost six minutes, Ezekiel Elliott was able to run the ball three yards into the end zone. Touchdown for the Cowboys. That made it 14:3 Dallas. Cleveland’s offense continued to be a disaster, as they failed to score another first down. The Cowboys at least got within field goal range and Brandon Aubrey was successful from 57 yards. 17:3 Cowboys. And if you think that after the Browns’ attacks so far, things couldn’t have been worse for the team from Ohio, you’re wrong. Because in the next attack, DeShaun Watson threw an interception. Eric Kendricks said thank you and took the ball for America’s team. It wasn’t as if the Cowboys played outstandingly on offense, but they at least got back within field goal range. And Brandon Aubrey showed that he can do it from 40 yards. 20:3 Cowboys.
And what happened on the Browns’ next drive? Of course. A 3 & Out. In the entire first half, the Cleveland Browns managed just one first down.
And if the Cowboys hadn’t been a little clumsy, there would have been another field goal by Brandon Aubrey, who scored from 66 yards, but that didn’t count because the snap came a little too late. So the score was 20:3 at halftime.
The second half also started terribly for the Browns. They had the ball first, but again couldn’t get a new first down, so they had to punt again and then Cowboys returner KaVontae Turpin carried the ball 60 yards back into the end zone. Touchdown Cowboys 27:3.
And then a small miracle happened. The Browns actually managed to put together a decent drive, with first downs and even a touchdown at the end. Deshaun Watson served Jerry Jeudy for 6 yards for a touchdown. Only 27:10.
Now there were one or two injuries. Browns TE David Njoku had to go into the blue tent, Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson had to leave the game with a knee injury.

The second half was more of the same, with the Browns failing to mount a comeback. The Cowboys’ defense roughed up Deshaun Watson, who threw an interception that was picked off by Eric Kendricks. The Cowboys added 13 more points in the second half, with Dak Prescott leading the charge, to seal a 33-17 victory [[1]].
Post-Game Analysis
The Cowboys’ dominating performance was highlighted by their stingy defense, which held the Browns to just one first down in the entire first half. Dak Prescott, fresh from signing a four-year, $240 million contract, led the charge on offense, while Ezekiel Elliott and Brandin Cooks made significant contributions to the Cowboys’ scoring efforts [[1]].
On the other hand, the Browns struggled to get anything going on offense, with Deshaun Watson and the Browns’ offense sputtering throughout the game. The Browns’ defense was unable to contain the Cowboys’ high-powered offense, which ultimately led to their downfall.
