It was the Lambert Avocats firm that filed this request for class action on November 29.

The plaintiff, Olivier Phanor, criticizes AML Cruises for having added mandatory additional costs to the purchase of tickets for a cruise or excursion.

“The next step will be to post notices to trace as many potential members as possible. Over three years, these are estimated in the hundreds of thousands, considering that the defendant claimed to welcome approximately 600,000 people per year on its fleets, ”the law firm indicated by email to the QMI Agency.

The class action targets “all consumers who, since June 12, 2018, have paid a price higher than that which was advertised for a cruise offered by the defendants”.

All those concerned might thus obtain reimbursement and punitive damages in the event of a victory for the plaintiff.
