“So as not to bring kids and parents from tingo to tango as it happened; we had planned to meet tomorrow at 6 in the morning, but here we are making a joint proposal, the comrades from the Army, the Navy, the general secretary and the comrade from National Civil Protection, so that this council decides that tomorrow there will be no school activities and and to the SEP (Secretariat of Public Education) see the Shelters”, said Castro Cosío.
Then the vote was held, in which the Secretary General of the State Government, Homero Davis, the mayor of La Paz, Milena Quiroga, as well as representatives of the Secretary of the Navy, National Guard and Civil Protection participated; who confirmed the suspension of classes at all educational levels starting tomorrow Tuesday September 6th.
“There is no way, everything indicates that the meteor is coming; prevention is better”, expressed the president of Baja California Sur.
These words come after the previous tropical cyclone “Javier”, the suspension of classes took place late, causing criticism of local authorities through social networks; this, because many students they were already on their campuses when the decision was announced.
It is worth mentioning that “Kay” was at 7:15 p.m. (from the center of the country) 815 kilometers south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, as a category 1 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale and according to the forecast of the National Water Commission (Conagua) its eye will remain perpendicular to the peninsula, but its cloud bands will affect the state.
