To care for gold, silver and diamond jewellery, at home, follow the instructions of the cleaning guide, noting that some detergents may damage the metal of gold, silver and diamond stone, which requires adherence to the information below.

There are several methods used to clean gold jewelry, which are:

1. Baking soda and vinegar: Mix three parts baking soda powder with one part water, in a bowl, to make a thick paste. Cotton is used to wrap gold jewelry with paste.

Then, slowly pour water over a sufficient amount of white vinegar, and pour the resulting mixture over the gold jewelry. You can wait for 5 minutes, before rinsing the jewelry well, then dry it with a soft cloth towel. It is worth noting that the mentioned method disintegrates dirt and debris, but it is not suitable for jewelry that is sensitive, fragile, of high value, or that contains precious or porous stones.

2. Baking soda and aluminum foil: Line a glass bowl with aluminum foil, with the shiny side up, then place the gold jewelry directly on the foil, sprinkling baking soda powder until it obscures it. Pour enough boiling water into the bowl to submerge the ornament. You must wait for 5 minutes until the water cools, to remove the jewelry, rinse it well with warm, not cold, water, then dry it with a soft cloth towel.

The safest way to handle diamond jewelry is to soak them in a small bowl of water, with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid added, for 15 minutes. Then, scrub the jewelry gently using a soft toothbrush, rinse with water and dry. The mentioned method for cleaning diamond jewelry is repeated once a month.
